Billy Giarod Smith 63, of Kenbridge, Va. joined his family in Heaven on Christmas Eve 2017. He was the son of the late Harvey Lee Smith and Lucy Roach Smith. He is survived by his children, Michelle Smith; Stephen Smith and Stephanie Watson (Bryan); four grandchildren Taylor Burch, Kenzi Burch, Madison Smith and Logan Smith; brothers Edwin (Rudy) Smith and Harvey Smith, Jr. (Kathy) also surviving is his former wife Delores Smith. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a retired mechanic for the Army National Guard. Funeral services will held Thursday Dec. 28 at 6:30 PM in the Clarke Funeral Home, Kenbridge. Interment will be Friday Dec. 29, 2017 at 3 PM in Altavista Memorial Park, Altavista, Va. Please consider memorial donations to Freedom House Ministries, 813 N. Mecklenburg Ave, South Hill, VA 23970.
