    Thinking of the family ,n praying for you all . Having worked with him I'm sure he will be greatly missed by all of you , but know our savior makes no mistakes in choices for the eternal garden .if I can do anytging to ease your grief please don't hesitate to ask

    To all the family: May God's love, peace and comfort lay heavily in your minds and on your hearts as you go through this sad time and face all the days ahead! I'm sure Heaven just received another Angel, which shall be for all eternity and forever full of God's promised "Glorious Treasures"!!!

    I have many fond memories of Durwood. As a child to me he was my favorite uncle. When he and Poppo visited us in Newport News, it was always special. He always made time for me. My memories go on, but most of all I will remember his laugh and his hands.

    GLASSCOCK,

    Rommie Durwood Glasscock, Jr., 81, of Victoria, Va. joined his family in Heaven on March 24, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rommie D. and Martha C. Glasscock; his brother, William Edward Glasscock and his sister Lucile G. Cristo. He was the loving husband of the late Emily Bomar Glasscock.  He is survived by his children, Mechelle G. Stone and  R.D. “Chip” Glaasscock, III (April); three grandchildren, Sarah Meghan Pearce, Lindsey Caitlyn Glasscock and Zachary Daniel Glasscock and great-grandson, Elijah Jordan Pearce. Durwood graduated from Victoria High School and served his country in the U.S. Air Force.  He started work with the Virginian Railroad and retired from the Norfolk and Southern Railroad as a conductor. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and devoted family man. He will be missed by all. The family will receive friends Thursday March 28, 2019 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at the Staples Funeral Home in Victoria. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, March 29, 2019 at 11AM in the Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to Victoria Fire and Rescue, P.O.
