Kitty we know the grief and loneliness you and your family are feeling right now because we have both experienced those same feelings when our loved ones were taken from us. But God is the God of all comfort and is our (and your) Comforter (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) and peace (John 14:27). Remember it's only a temporary separation and we will see him again, and in perfect health. Until then, stay close to Him. Love, DB & Mary Jo 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Jimmy and I extend our deepest sympathy in the loss of Terry. So sorry we didn't know about all you and Terry had been through. You can rest now knowing he is out of pain and you will be seeing him again in paradise, but missing him now until then. God bless!

Retired Sergeant First Class, Terrence “Terry” Mason Conley, 81, of Blackstone, died in VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA, on June 2, 2021, after an extended illness and hospital stays. Services will be held 10AM Monday, June 14, 2021, at Clarke Funeral Home, Kenbridge, with Reverend James “Jim” Hogg officiating. The family will receive friends after the service, and burial services will follow at 1PM at Virginia Veteran’s Cemetery in Amelia with full military honors. All are invited to attend. He was born September 9, 1939, in Portsmouth, Ohio, son of the late Ferrell B. Conley and Naomi Rose Miller Conley Geisler. He began his military career with the Ohio National Guard, going on to serve in the United States Army for 21 years, including three tours in Viet Nam, and earning numerous medals, badges, commendations, citations and campaign ribbons. Additional years of supporting the military were spent with Civil Service at Fort Pickett and Fort Lee, Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Kitty, daughter Teresa Allen (John) and two cherished grandchildren, Caitlyn and Caleb Allen; daughters, Tracy Bolander (John), Patrice Bennett, Shawna Beyak (Jean-Paul) and son, Leonard Conley (Diem); ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Miranda Parker (Shelly), Martha Craft and Garnett Graham, one brother, Herbert Conley and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Dewey and Richard; sisters, Ruth Kinder, and Billie Stanley and grandson Patrick Bennett. Not to be forgotten is Twister, the stray cat that adopted him one summer day. Terry didn’t like cats until Twister came along, unexpectedly jumped in his lap and became a very vocal and fun part of the family. Unfortunately, Twister predeceased him by two weeks, of an unknown cause. His hobbies included golfing, watching TV (especially wrestling), going to Mildred’s Meals, mowing the lawn and driving his Inferno (orange) Toyota Tacoma.
