    My condolences go out to the entire Newcomb family especially my friend Michael. Rita, Fred and Mike you all know he was a great man and will be missed dearly.

    So sorry to hear about Art! I worked with him at Bradshaw Ford. He was a fine gentleman and a hard worker! Prayers for God's strength and comfort!

    Arthur Briggs “Reb” Newcomb, Jr., 81, of Kenbridge, Va. joined his son, David, in Heaven on October 5, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rita Camara Newcomb; his sons, Fred Allen Newcomb (Debra Lynn) of Laurinburg, NC and Michael Anthony Newcomb (Ronda Gail) of Poplar Grove, IL; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and his brother Robert Lynn Newcomb (Judy) of Bassett, NC. Art honorably served his country in the US Navy and the US Army. He served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He retired after 22 years as a Chief Warrant Officer. After retiring from the Army Art worked for many years at Bradshaw Ford in Crewe until opening Green Bay Auto Repair in Meherrin and then Newcomb Automotive in Rice, Va. He faithfully served his country and his community. He will always be remembered for his strong work ethic, and devotion to his family and our country. The family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 10, from 6:30 to 8PM at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge, Va. where funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 11, 2019 at 2PM. Interment with military rites to follow
