    Charles Edward “Chick” Hudson, 83, of Kenbridge, Va. went to be with the Lord on Feb. 27, 2020. He was the son of the late Lucy Rebecca Hudson and brother of the late Lloyd Carrington Hudson, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Skelton Hudson; his daughter Rebecca H. Jenkins (Mark); his son, Charles Jr. (Crystal); four grandchildren, Ashley Barnes (Jeff), Randy Conner (Lauren), Jordan Thomas Hudson and Amber Nichole Lucy; great grandson, Ryan Lee Barnes all of Kenbridge; one brother, William “Billy” Hudson (Barbara) of South Hill; numerous nieces and nephews. Charles drove bus 37 for the Lunenburg County Public School System for 39 years. He enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing. He was a past member of Dundas Ruritan Club and a lifelong member of the Perseverance Christian Church, 3096 Gigg Road, Dundas, Va., where funeral services will be held Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 3PM with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020 from 6:30 to 8PM at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge.
