You and micheal were great kids. Lord I remember all the times we shared together. Never in my darkest days did I ever think this would happen.. I saw you a couple wks ago at red bird,and gosh you hadn't changed! FLY HIGH GLEN! UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN!

I'm signing this just to say. This right here is my families saddest day. We cry and we scream we laugh and we pray. We keep asking why although we not dare. We understand even though we don't feel it's at all fair. for 34 years you have been with us. Laughing loving and caring for us. Never taking up to much space. Never getting in anyone's face. We took your gentleness for granted. We just thought you'd always be here right with us where you'd stay planted. So take our love with you as you go. We will always miss you and love so. Much much more than you could ever know. We will make sure in happiness the little one will grow.

I'm signing this to say I will always miss my biggest childhood friend I had most of my best memories with you and wish we could have had more time you were always the one person that has never turned your back on me and was always one person that no matter what would message me and ask how I was doing no matter were I was at you were a huge blessing to my life and I can say you will forever live in my memories and heart thank you Glen for being the big brother I never had

I never thought I been writing something like this so soon But Glen I love you so much you are my best friend I never thought I would loose you I had 31 years with you we was close there was never a moment were you didnt make me smile I'm so blessed to had you as my brother I miss you so much give mama hugs and kisses for me you will always have peace of my heart

This is still so shocking...you are so young you had a big heart and we're always kind to me and would make me laugh.Im praying for your family and your son...you had a major role in God's plan and I'm so thankful for the love shown through your life and death.... love you man... I have been in Washington DC for a March for Women's rights. To the family including Casey I'm sorry for your loss of a wonderful human being. Glenward Earl “Glen” Buchanan, 34, of Victoria, VA joined his mother, Barbara Woodson Buchanan, in Heaven on September 28, 2021. He is survived by his son, Glenward Earl Buchanan, Jr.; his devoted and loving companion, Casey Dickson; his father, Eugene Ridley Buchanan (Nancy); his sisters, Sandra Gilreath, Mary Gilreath (Clinton Dickson) and Holly Buchanan (Jonathan Bruce); his only brother, Michael Buchanan (Alice Wray); numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and his family at ABC Recycling. Glen was a 2006 graduate of Central High School where he enjoyed playing football. He was a peacemaker who loved to be goofy and spend time with his family, especially his son “Junior” and nephew JC. He enjoyed playing video games and was always kind and caring. He was the Dallas Cowboys biggest fan. Glen is the man!!

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 6 to 8PM at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge where funeral services will be held Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 2PM. Interment in the Cassada Family Cemetery, Saxe, VA. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to the Eugene Buchanan Special Circumstance Fund, FBO Glenward Buchanan Expenses, P.O. Box 97, Victoria, Virginia 23974 to help with raising Glenward, Jr.
