    It was with much sadness to learn of James's passing. I have many fond memories of visits with James and Barbara over the years. God bless and comfort you, Kyna and Jamie, and know many friends share your sadness.

    Kyna, Jamie and extended families......know that you are in my thoughts during this time and that I will cherish all our wonderful memories forever.     James and Barbara did so much for my mom and dad, Joe and Velma King, when they lived across the street in Robertsons house. Everything they was so appreciated.

    One of the finest men I ever knew sorry to see him leave this world he made it a better place serious efforts and examples as a member of the VFW and American Legion I thank him for all his service and all the things he helped me with cooking at the VFW love Tom Hart and Trilby heart

    James Alfred Tuck, 91, of Victoria, Va. joined his wife Barbara in Heaven on August 16, 2020. He was the son of the late Donald H. Tuck and Edna Clark Tuck and brother of the late Donald “Dick”, Emmett and Alvin. He is survived by his daughter Kyna T. Otey (Vern) and his son James L. Tuck (Betsy); four grandchildren, Seth Otey (Jessi), Kyle Otey (Jessie), Katie Tyler and Dylan Tuck; two great-grandchildren; Andi Otey and Nora Otey; sisters, Marjorie T. Paynter (Fred) and Evelyn T. Harding (Morrell); sister-in-law, Evelyn Johnson and special friend Jean Gay; numerous nieces and nephews. James served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, retired as a conductor for Norfolk and Southern Railway and was a member and deacon of  the Victoria Baptist Church. He loved making friendships through cooking, gardening, fishing and hunting. He was a founding member of the Victoria Golf Course and Falls Hunt Club, a member of; the 635 Supper Club, Buckskin Hunt Club, VFW Post 9954 and American Legion Post 0147. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 18, from 4 to 8 at the home of Kyna and Vern Otey, 3724 Old Mansion Road, Lunenburg, Va. 23952. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 11am in the Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria. The family would like to thank Doris Fowlkes and Brenda Wilkerson for all of their devotion and loving care given to James.  In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to the Victoria Baptist Church or the Victoria Fire and Rescue.
