Larry Ray “Rooster” Prue, Jr., 54, of Lake Chesdin, Va. passed away May 14, 2019. He was the step-father of the late Crystal Merkley. He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Prue of Kenbridge; his son, Cody Prue of Lake Chesdin; step-daughter, Tiffany Merkley of Brookneal; 8 grandchildren; his parents, Larry and Virginia Prue of Kenbridge; maternal grandmother, Virginia M. Smith also of Kenbridge; sister, Virginia Tripp and devoted friend, Darlene Hughes of Lake Chesdin. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge from 2PM until start of services at 3PM. Interment in the Kenbridge Heights Cemetery.
