Michael Macwelch, Sr., 88, of Kenbridge, Va., crossed the bridge to heaven on Dec. 4, 2020. His wife of 34 years, Sheila Andrews Macwelch was by his side as he departed. He was born Feb. 26, 1932 in Seat Pleasant, MD, one of six children born to the late John and Patty Macwelch. His brothers, Freddie Macwelch, Aubrey Rollins Macwelch and Glen Royce “Pete” Macwelch preceded him in death. His family lived in Fauquier County (Warrenton, Va) for most of his childhood. He served in the 187th Airborne “Rakkasans” in the Koren War 1950-1953 as a paratrooper. After the war he was an
iron worker in the Washington DC area. In 1980 he moved to Kenbridge, Va to live the peaceful life.
