An utter loss to anyone he touched through either his joyful charm or his incredible talent. It's been a privilege having known you, and even greater an honor to have shared the connection of music that only musicians know. Godspeed to your new heavenly home.

I've known Ricky for a long time and I feel like he is one of my children. The last time I heard from him was on Mother's Day. He wished me a happy Mothers Day. He always remembered me on special occasions. Ricky, I love you and will miss you dearly. You were not only a good musician but a very good person in every way. Go rest in peace. Condolences to his fammily.

Layne and I are shocked and very sad to hear that cousin Ricky passed unexpectedly. I really need God to help me with this one. My mom told me the story of my young cousin Ricky asking if he could have an old mandolin found in our grandmother's home. The rest is history as Ricky became a great musician. His love of family and music was his gift to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ricky's daughter, grandson, and friends.

We are still in disbelief of Ricky's passing. You have not only been a great musician but an even greater friend. Ricky and my husband go back many years since they were young playing Bluegrass music together, he was like a brother to him. Ricky was a man with such genuine kindness. In the past few years we have both have had medical issues going on and he always reached out to me to let me know he was there and to call him if we needed anything at all. We will miss him greatly. Prayers for his daughter, Kaitlynn and his little grandson, Milo, may God comfort her in the days ahead along with other family and friends. Your music will go on in heaven. Fly high with those heavenly angels. 💙
