    Sara my prayers are for you to have the strength you need in the days ahead. So sorry to learn of George passing. I am glad you had the 21 years together and all your good memories.

    Sara, my deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. Although I didn't know George, I could tell that you both had a great love and respect for each other. My prayers have been and continue to be with you during this difficult and sad time.

    I am so very sorry for the loss of a wonderful friend and neighbor when ever I had a problem GEORGE was always here to help me I will truly miss him my love to the love of his life sarah

    My dear Sara and family, I am truly sorry for the loss of George. I will miss seeing all the wonderful meals he would prepare for the two of you. I know he will be missed greatly by each of you but you all still have all the wonderful memories until you meet again.     George William Curley Jr., 73, of Kenbridge, VA passed away December 2, 2022. He was the son of the late George William Curley and Phyllis Ellen Muldoon Curley. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, and best friend of 35 years, Sara Lambdin Curley; his sisters, Eileen Mary Tweed of Florida, Laurena Jean Skalinsky (Dave) and Carolyn Jane “Donie” White (Roy) all of Massachusetts; his brothers, John Joseph Curley (Peggy) of Kentucky and James Michael Curley (June) of New Hampshire; stepchildren, William Mark Gioielli (Page) and Nancy Jean “Nikki” Brooks (Curtis) all of North Carolina, Gene R. Reeves of Florida, and Richard Stasny of Texas; grandchildren, Vincent Ian Gioielli, Crystal Valentina Gioielli, Trevor Montana Brooks, Jessica Brady, Chynah Prescott and Devin Stasny.

    George served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam war. He retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer - Aviation Electronics Technician. During his naval career, he served on several aircraft carriers, including the U.S.S. America. While stationed in Rota, Spain, he implemented the communications of the European brig system. He later worked for the John Mahaney / Nationwide Insurance Agency as manager of the South Hill office.

    He enjoyed fishing, golfing, gourmet cooking, and spending time with family.

    Memorial services will be held at 2PM, Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Clarke Funeral Home, Kenbridge. Please consider memorial donations to the Kenbridge Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 328, Kenbridge, VA 23944.
